Learn to paddleboard, then get regular paddleboard sup hire from @Surreysuphire. Choose from our selection of Inflatable SUPs and Kayaks hire with Buoyancy Aids for adults and children.
Whether using your own SUP Board or wish to separately hire our Inflatable SUPs and Kayaks , you can hire our Board Buddy adult to accompany your trip.
You may be travelling solo and want a buddy, need an extra pair of hands for safety of your kids, have the teenagers going out and want an Adult alongside or just want the security of a local who knows the River Wey and River Thames around Weybridge/Walton.
Meet in Weybridge for a Guided Couples SUP Experience, taking in the River Wey for a pub lunch and return.
We regularly see Heron, Ducks, Swans, Kingfisher and more on these calm peaceful backwaters. Or arrange a picnic by the waters edge, watching the amazing sunsets on your SUPs.
Add on picnic and champagne options, plus option to meet Pyrford for paddle taking in Newark Priory and return.
You are responsible for your own safety and self risk-assessment and ability to swim, for any outing. You hire your Inflatable SUPs and Kayaks from us, and off you go exploring wherever takes your fancy. However, I am keen to share what I consult before a SUP Board Session on our local rivers and would urge you to do the same., as a minimum. You may need to research more local links to specific areas you paddle too, for example any coastal paddlers will need local knowledge and links to tide tables etc.
Gopaddling.info recommend paddling points, look at river maps to be aware of areas to avoid like weirs and remember you can change your launch spot if it suddenly looks windy and your going on a wide open river, change it to a protected canal and you may find weather conditions fine for that paddle point. Try never to paddle alone.
River Conditions Thames from Environment Agency and my regular stretch is under Henley to Teddington; Shepperton to Sunbury Lock
Some SUP Instructors are not permitted to lead if winds above 12mph, so be aware of wind for you.
If overcast, I suggest you wear Hi Vis or bright Tops to improve visibility for all river traffic.
Lastly, remember weather can change from the forecast ( I even check 10 minutes before launching) & can even become more swollen as you SUP, so prepare to make changes to your outing if you sense a change in vulnerability and your personal safety.
